
Korean Fried Chicken
Korean Fried Chicken is a crispy, flavorful dish that combines double-frying techniques for an irresistibly crunchy texture. Tossed in a spicy-sweet sauce, this chicken is perfect for sharing or enjoying on your own.
Ingredients
- 1 kg chicken wings
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup cornstarch
- 1 tsp baking powder
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1 tsp ginger powder
- Salt to taste
- Black pepper to taste
- Oil for frying
- 1/2 cup gochujang (Korean chili paste)
- 1/4 cup soy sauce
- 1/4 cup honey
- 2 tbsp rice vinegar
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tsp sesame oil
- Sesame seeds for garnish
- Green onions, chopped for garnish

In a large bowl, mix flour, cornstarch, baking powder, garlic powder, ginger powder, salt, and pepper.

Coat the chicken wings in the flour mixture, shaking off excess.

Heat oil in a deep fryer or large pot to 350°F (175°C).

Fry the chicken wings in batches for about 8-10 minutes until golden brown and cooked through.
